stephanie. tx. cf patient. gay. turning my wounds into wisdom. trying to live a healthier lifestyle but probably failing miserably.
A majority of my next paycheck will go towards vitamins and medical bills. Oh, the joys of CF.
Since the beginning of 2013 I have been admitted to the hospital twice, completed 6 courses of PO antibiotics, had several exacerbations, and had one pretty serious arthritis flare up. I’ve had some pretty dark days this year already but it really is always darkest before the dawn.
I have also just completed running 26.5 miles in one week for the first time in my life. I am also coming up on one month without any extra antibiotics. This week has given me an extraordinary amount of hope for me and my little body. I’m looking forward to my 24th year of life and my 30th and my 40th. I’m looking forward to keeping up this fight and hearing about y’all’s victories everyday. Y’all are a huge part of what keeps me motivated and dedicated. I don’t know any of you CFers personally but I have some serious love and admiration for y’all.
Stay strong and keep breathing easy y’all.
I smile when people take the time to know me this well. :)
When you smile right after one of your fits. When chocolate / food is in the general area. When there are small surprises done for you (cause you hate surprises in general). When you’re drunk and loving all up on life.
When you’re you.
Because this shit is a fucking full time job..and I never get a day off

Is it bad that when I’m getting to know someone and I learn they smoke cigarettes I automatically write them off?
